The 2026 Formula 1 season begins on March 8 in Australia, and all eyes will be on which teams have taken full advantage of the new rules and regulations in the quest for Championship glory.
McLaren's Lando Norris dethroned Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen to win his first Drivers' Championship in 2025, but having lost the title by only 2 points, the four-time Champion will be on the charge. There are plenty of other drivers eager to take them both down, of course, and it's all to play for as we head into an exciting new era.
Despite us still being two months from the start of the season, we'll be getting plenty of big F1 news over the next few weeks. The 11 teams set to line up on the grid will begin revealing their liveries (car designs) starting this week, with Red Bull on January 15.
Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, recently teased that by saying, "The launch of the Red Bull Ford Powertrains era represents not only a bold step into the future, but a powerful expression of what’s possible when world-class engineering, innovation, and passion come together."
"To see the energy, precision, and scale behind this project is inspiring. It’s the culmination of several years of collaboration between two great names in motorsport. We’re incredibly excited to begin this new chapter, driven by the same determination and excellence that defines both Ford and Red Bull," he added.
2026 marks the first time Red Bull will have a Ford engine (they previously used Honda), and the expectation is that the car is getting a long-awaited visual overhaul.
We'll be bringing you the reveals the moment they drop, starting with Friday's Red Bull launch and then heading into next week with Haas, Audi, and more. Of course, while we'll get to see the new car liveries, the finer details of the cars themselves will be kept under wraps as each team does its best to avoid revealing anything they'd rather their rivals not see.
